Photo Graduation Quilt
This quilt has photos within each block showing the graduate with
family and friends. My customer sent me a charm pack of 5" blocks, and we
added tonal fabrics to complete the look.

Rainbow Charity Quilt
Each block on this quilt represents the person's favorite charity. The
charity names are each embroidered on the hears, then appliquéd onto each
block. The embroidery/appliqué was completed by Cottonwood Creations. The
photo below shows detail of four of the blocks.

Rainbow Travel Quilt
Each block on this quilt represents the person's favorite place to
travel. The embroidery designs are quite intricate. The embroidery was

Confirmation Quilt
This is my nephews confirmation quilt. Each family member and friend
who attended his confirmation made a block. It was then made into a quilt.
The back fabric is covered with band instruments - showing that he enjoys
playing the trombone!

Graduation Quilt
My client transferred the photos to fabric and hand pieced the center
section of this quilt. Then the quilt was completed into a twin size quilt.
It is very bright! This quilt measures approx 73" x 92".

"I loved and even more so, my daughter just loved
the quilt. I took it to the place where I purchased the fabric and they
went crazy over it. We especially love the details, like the quilted

Bible Quilt
This quilt is for a girl in Rainbow Girls. Each of her friends gave
their favorite bible verse - they were all embroidered onto blocks and
placed around the center block. This quilt measures approx 60" x 85".

Ties that bind!
Ok, so I have to write that this is the longest project I have ever
worked on! My client send these ties to me in 2002, and we are now 2006! He
probably has a few more ties to include now! I enjoyed this project, but it
was labor of love - ties are much harder to work with than anticipated!

From Childhood to Adulthood.
This large lap quilt has a beautiful table runner down the center and
beading/lace from my clients wedding dress in all four corners and borders.
The diamonds on each side include pieces of baby clothing as well as the
darker inside border. This quilt measures 43" x 71".

Wedding Memory Quilt.
My client asked friends/family to each make a block for this quilt. It
is a beautiful Wedding quilt - and will be a keepsake for this bride! It
is quilted with hearts! It measures approx 61" x 61".

School Art Quilts (2)
The artwork in each of the blocks was created by 1st graders - their
assignment was to draw a flower. One of the parents in the class asked me
to make this quilt as a gift to the teacher. This quilt measures approx
50" x 60". All of the fabrics in this quilt were selected from www.bugfabric.com.
The first quilt was completed May 2004.
The second quilt was completed January 2005.

Silk Quilt
My client picked out silk fabrics for this quilt - it is beautiful,
and so soft. It is a Christmas present for her mom. The back is beautiful
raw silk.

My client picked out the fabrics and sent me the photos for this
quilt. It is for an 80th Birthday party!

Children's Clothing Quilt
My client sent me a box of her daughter's clothes to incorporate into
a quilt. There were many bright red's and blue's so we made this the focus
on the quilt. This is the snowball pattern, using the red as the diamonds
between each block. Many of the blocks have the buttons and embellishments
from the clothing and where possible I also included pockets. The bottom
photo shows detail of the quilting.

40th Birthday Memory Quilt
My client wanted something special for his wife's 40th Birthday. He
pulled the family photos and did the computer work for a collage of photos
in each block. He picked out the fabrics, and designed the layout for the
quilt. I'm sure his wife will be so excited!

Memory Quilt
My client wanted to make something special for her boyfriend on their
first year anniversary of dating. They had traveled and gone to many
memorable events. We included photos, and tickets of the events that they
attended together. This quilt measures approx 40" x
60".

75th Birthday Photo Quilt
This quilt was made for a 75th birthday present. It includes family
photos, and a nice birthday wish in one of the center blocks. The border
fabric has leaves, so we carried the leaves throughout in the quilting as
well.

25th Anniversary Photo Quilt
This quilt was made for a 25th Wedding Anniversary. It includes family
photos, and the center photo is the wedding photo.

Family Reunion Quilt
This family reunion quilt shows photos, birth and death (if
applicable) dates for the members of this family. My client will share it
with her family at a reunion.
This quilt was completed June 2003.

Chenille Blankets
The top photo is a lavender chenille blanket. The front is solid striped
lavender chenille, and the back and binding is lavender flannel. The
middle photo shows an embroidered label for the back of the lavender blanket.
The bottom photo shows a baby blue full size chenille blanket (shown on
a king size bed).
These are beautiful thick chenille with cotton batting and flannel
backs - and they are quilted together to make nice warm blankets.
The lavender blanket was completed May 2003.
The blue blanket was completed June 2003.

Wedding Quilt
This is a wedding quilt. My client gave blocks to important people in
the wedding couple's life, and each person made a block for the quilt. The
blocks are quite creative. The bottom photo shows six of the blocks
showing photos and even doll clothes (wedding dress & tux) are sewn
onto the block. This is a gift most brides would love to receive! The
quilt is quilted with hearts throughout the quilt. This
quilt measures 60" x 60".
This quilt was completed March 2003.

Travel Quilt
This travel quilt includes photos and t-shirts from places this young
boy has visited. His mom sent me the t-shirts, and wanted embroidered
names of the states where they had traveled. His mom is also a
photographer so we included some of the photos from the places where he
visited as well. The second photo shows the center portion of th quilt.
William likes blue, so we put lots of blue around the quilt too. This
quilt measures 65" x 65".
The third photo shows the quilt at home! (Thanks to my client for
sending me this photo!)
This quilt was completed February 2003.

Anniversary Quilt
My client picked out many themed fabrics from the equilter website
that represented their family life. She also sent photos of the her family
to be added. The design was inspired by the fabrics selected. The 10
commandments are placed around the outside of the quilt, and the outer
most colors represent the color wheel. Music is all around us in life,
hence it is around the quilt. The borders on each side are all different
showing many favorite things that inspire this family.
The first photo shows the entire quilt. The second photo shows some of
the close up quilting work that the Quilting Cottage did - Sally did a
fantastic job! The third photo shows the back of the quilt - using the
remainder of the themed fabrics on the back of the quilt to finish the
story of the quilt. This quilt measures 91" x 110".
This quilt was completed October 2002.

My client took t-shirts from the Snohomish Classic Car Display and had
them made into a quilt for a gift. The quilt measures 62" x 62".

75th Birthday Quilt
This quilt is for a 75th birthday! My client picked out the border fabric,
then I picked out the sashing fabric and the binding. This wall hanging
quilt measures 36" x 44". Each of the photos are 6" x
6" square, and we incorporated both color and black/white photos.
This quilt was completed August 2002."I knew from my first phone conversation with

T-shirt Memory Quilt
My client sent me her daughter's t-shirts from her high school years. She
gave this to her daughter as a gift after she graduated from college. It measures 66" x 74".

Baby Clothes Memory Quilt
My client brought me her baby clothes and her husband's baby clothes. She
wanted a quilt to hang in their bedroom that didn't look too baby, she
selected the basic design of the quilt and both her and her husband
selected the background and accent fabrics. The top photo shows the entire
quilt, and the bottom photo shows a close up of the detail in the
pattern.
The quilt measures
approximately 66" x 47". Completed June 2002.

Josh's Memory Quilt
When Josh turned 13, his mom had a party for him and invited influential
people in his life. At the gathering, each person shared their advice for
Josh and assured him that he had family and friends around him. Each
person made a quilt square for the quilt. Josh's grandmother started the
quilt, and Original Quilts finished the quilt.
Quilt measure 63" x 75". Completed April 2002.

Glass Memory Quilt
This quilt was designed using over 60 shirts worn while working at
Microsoft. This is a great way to take memories from favorite shirts and
display them as a quilt for all to enjoy. This quilt measures 58" x
58". This quilt was completed March 2002.

Noble Family Quilt
This quilt has 35 photos of members of the Noble family. It was given as a
gift to the grandparents of the family. If you click on the top photo you
can see close up the embroidery that says "The Noble Family
2001". You can also see the detail in the quilting. This quilt
measures approximately 40" x 60". This quilt was completed
December 2001.
The Quilting Cottage did the long arm quilting on this quilt.

Fricke Family Quilt
This quilt has twelve 8 x 10 photo's in it. It was a gift to my
brother and his family. As we all enjoy to fish, this quilt shows fish
swimming around quilt. The quilting is done with fish and waves in the
border. This quilt was
made as a usable quilt for the family to cuddle up in. It measures
approximately 60 x 75". This quilt was completed December 2001.

Photo Quilt
This photo quilt has four 8" x 10" photos with a sashing and a
border. There is also a loop sewn on back for easy hanging with a rod. The
names of each member of the family is embroidered in the middle sashing.
This quilt is wall hanging size and costs $95. This quilt was completed November 2001.
Also, the blue, mauve, and maroon fabrics used are all hand dyed
fabrics by the quilt artist. |

Velvet Quilt
This is a velvet quilt with photo transfer. My client designed this quilt
and asked me to make it for her. It is 60" x 60". It is
very soft and cuddly. It was completed March 2002.

Julia's Memory Quilt
Julia's mom saved all her special
clothing from her first 4 years. Included in this quilt are; the outfit from her first Christmas, the
t-shirt she wore when coming home from the hospital, favorite t-shirts,
jeans, dresses, and even her first sleeper. Also, her PJ's, Halloween costumes,
and more. Over 70 pieces were combined to make this memorable quilt for
Julia. We used her jeans for the boarders, and the fabric from her
crib bumpers as the binding. This is a very creative way to save memories
of your child. If you click on the picture to see it bigger, you can see
in the upper left corner that I designed the sleeper to unzip and show a
tiny t-shirt underneath.
The top picture shows the whole quilt, and the lower picture shows more
detail of the upper part of the quilt. This quilt was completed October
2001.

Microsoft T-shirt Quilt
This t-shirt quilt is made from t-shirts collected while working 8-years
at Microsoft. The quilt is bordered in jeans, and the back is flannel to
make a very comfortable quilt to cuddle in. This quilt was completed
